Zoolab comes to Kingfishers!
Published 28/11/25One of the week’s major highlights came courtesy of Zoolab, who brought along a fascinating selection of creatures for our Year 1 and 2 pupils to meet. The classroom was buzzing with excitement as the children came face to face with Shelly the snail, Callie the cockroach, Fred the frog, Tilly the tarantula, Pumpkin the corn snake and Laura the gerbil. Each animal brought its own moment of awe, curiosity and, in some cases, a tiny bit of nervous giggling! The session offered a wonderful hands-on learning experience, helping pupils understand more about different habitats, lifecycles and the importance of caring for all living things.

Harvest Festival Celebration Brings Joy and Community Spirit
Published 23/10/25Our recent Harvest Festival was a wonderful celebration of community, talent, and thanksgiving! The event was very well attended, with families, friends, and members of the local community coming together to mark this special occasion.
The morning was filled with music and joy, beginning with beautiful performances on the organ and piano by some of our very talented children. Their confidence and musicianship were truly inspiring and set a lovely tone for the rest of the event.
We were also treated to an insightful and heartfelt speech by the EARA group, who reminded us of the importance of inclusion, understanding, and supporting one another—values that lie at the heart of our community.
The celebration concluded with wonderful singing from the children, whose enthusiasm and bright voices filled the room with happiness and warmth. Their songs captured the spirit of the harvest perfectly—gratitude, sharing, and hope.
A huge thank-you to everyone who attended and helped make the Harvest Festival such a memorable and uplifting event. It was a true reflection of our school’s community spirit and the joy of coming together to celebrate all that we have.
