  • Young Voices 2026

    Published 23/01/26

Our recent trip to Young Voices at the iconic The O2 Arena was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved. We were incredibly proud to take one of the largest groups we have had for some time, with 29 children attending – including many enthusiastic new Year 3 singers. The day was long and tiring, but the children coped brilliantly, showing resilience, excitement and superb behaviour throughout. It was wonderful to see so many parents join us to support the children, creating a real sense of community. The children performed with confidence and energy and truly made us proud.

  • New Books enjoyed by our Pupils

    Published 22/01/26

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to one of our wonderful grandparents for the incredibly generous donation of brand-new books to our school library. This thoughtful gift has made a real and immediate impact, and the excitement it created among both staff and pupils was a joy to see.

The books were carefully selected by our teaching staff from recommended reading lists for each classroom, ensuring that every title is engaging, high quality, and perfectly matched to the children’s interests and reading levels. From beautifully illustrated stories to inspiring and informative reads, these books will support learning, spark curiosity, and nurture a lifelong love of reading.

The children were absolutely delighted to explore the new arrivals, and teachers have already begun using them in class, where they have been warmly received. Having such fantastic resources available not only enriches classroom learning but also strengthens our library as a welcoming, inspiring space for all.

This act of generosity reflects a deep support for our school community and for the value of reading in children’s lives. We are truly grateful for this kindness and for the lasting benefit these books will bring to our pupils for many years to come.

    Thank you Mr Cheesman.
