1 Robins Year R/1
Welcome to Robins Class
Welcome to Sheet Primary School!
Welcome to back to Robins - Class of 2032! (*tears up*) 🐦
What a fantastic autumn term we had – it was so full of fun, exploration and growth, and I don’t just mean in height! As you know, we place your children at the very heart of everything we do. Play-based learning is central to life in Robins, and by following the children’s interests we nurture curious minds, independence and resilience. No two days are ever the same — and that’s exactly how we like it! So far we have had requests for learning on, but not limited to: The Ice Age, Football, Farms, Space and Rockets, Sweetcorn, Building and Construction, Parks, Penguins and Flowers. So let’s see where we end up!
A few important reminders to help our days run smoothly:
Named uniform, please – this really helps us reunite jumpers, cardigans and hats with their owners.
Lunch choices – the menu has recently changed, so please take some time to look through the options with your child. I uploaded a copy to dojo at the start of January if you need it. There are some lovely new choices to try and I’ll also be sampling the menu over the next few weeks so I can chat confidently with the children about what’s on offer.
Wednesday Welly Wanders – we’ll be heading out on lots of outdoor adventures this term! Please make sure your child has a named pair of wellies that fit, kept in school, along with a coat every day. As the weather is so unpredictable, hats and gloves are also welcomed.
Slippers – these have been a huge success! The children are loving being cosy indoors and it’s making a big difference to muddy hands when they’re choosing inside play. It is also hugely helping their development of independence and resilience when it comes to putting their shoes on, making indoor PE much easier!
Thank you, as always, for your continued support — it really does make such a difference. We’re so excited for the term ahead in Robins and here’s to longer, lighter days! 💛
