Y3/4 Cross Country Race at Bohunt
Published 18/10/24On Tuesday 7 children from Y3/4 took part in the cross country run.
45 children from 6 local primaries took part and the run was twice around Bohunts big sports field.
We had a third and a sixth place during the run, well done to Ted and Remy for that, however ALL of the children did a fabulous job and showed all of our school values in abundance during the run.
A special thank you to the parents who helped transport the children from school and stayed to support and cheer them on.
It was a pleasure to take them, please don’t forget to use this opportunity for extra sports which we make available via our Bohunt Sports membership.Julie Robinson

Herons Trip to Butser Ancient Farm Oct '24
Published 11/10/24On Friday 4th October, we went to Butser Ancient Farm, for our history topic. We are learning about the Stone Age period. We were so excited! We arrived by minibus and met our guide for the day. William shared lots of historical information about the Stone Ages. We got to walk around a Stone Age village and discovered that the houses were made from cow’s poo, clay and animal skin. Our second activity was clay pottery. We got to mush up a piece of clay and after removing the stones we got to make a model which we could take home. Our third activity was chalk carving. We smoothed the chalk with some flint and we then squeezed some leaves to colour the chalk green. After that, we used the sharp side of the flint to draw patterns. Our fourth activity was to be archaeologists. We dug up a variety of different artefacts. Some of us found flint, some of us found massive pieces of metal, some of us even found skulls and bones. We thoroughly enjoyed our school trip and would love to go back again.

U9 Football Tournament Wednesday 18th September
Published 20/09/24The Year 4 team showed tremendous team spirit and effort on the sunny afternoon up at Bedales against 6 other school teams. It was tough, big pitches, fierce matches & lots of sunshine but the team spirit, the effort, the respect and appreciation of each other shone through. They won 2, drew 1 and lost a couple of matches.
Overall it was a great effort from the team and a huge thank you to Mrs Mifsud and Mrs Dudin who came into school for a training session and who organised and looked after them.

YR's Trip to Marwell Zoo
Published 19/07/24The sun shone brightly for our lovely reception children this week as they enjoyed their final trip of the year to Marwell Zoo. Linked to their topic on Africa and African animals the children had an amazing time learning about and looking at animals such as: Snow Leopards, reptiles, meerkats,
rhinos and snow leopards. The hot day was reminiscent of the Savanna and an exhausting, fun and educational day out.
