On Friday 14th June 4 lovely Year 2 children rushed off to take part in the inter schools Year 2 cross country race at Froxfield. Organised by Froxfield, East Meon, Langrish, Froxfield, Buriton and SHeet all raced together in a girls race and a boys race. The course was twice around the playing fields next to the school in Froxfield.
We could not be more proud of our amazing runners, although they did not come home with a medal or a cup each and every one of them run their hardest and really enjoyed the race.
Once again - we celebrated all things 'fathers' at our annual Father's Day Lunch at school this week. A record amount of dads joined their infant children for lunch and the children and dads loved it!

Congratulations to the swimmers this term in Herons and Kestrels who have completed this year’s swimming lessons at the Open Air Pool. Fabulous behaviour, listening and learning. So much progress was made by them all - we are all very proud of how hard they worked. The sun shone for nearly all of their lessons this term and the teachers made a point of letting us know how much of a pleasure it was to teach them. Keep going with those lessons at home if you can, being confident and able in water is an extremely important skill to have in life.
Tuesday 4 June - Rounders at Bohunt
A valiant effort from our girls football team this morning. We made a cracking start with no goals being conceded in our first 3 Games. We played Medstead where Grace and Maita scored 1 goal each and Martha scored 2. Against East Meon Martha scored 3 and Grace scored 1 and Martha 2. In the semi final, w played Froxfield and despite huge efforts we lost 1-0. A great team of girls. Special thanks to Mrs Mifsud who coached the team at school and on the day. A great morning and although disappointed the girls have left in good spirits.

Bohunt Year 5 & 6 Rounders Match
Sunday was a beautiful day on the South Downs at Cocking near Midhurst where 10 children made up out Team Sheet to enter the 3k junior running race for the first time.
The children were brilliantly behaved, ran like the wind and we got some really great results, some coming in around 10th place in their age bracket.
The sun was shining, the views were awesome and everyone had a fabulous morning. We shall certainly look out for more of these junior races in the future.
A big thank you to Mrs Galley who runs our school running club and keeps and spreads the enthusiasm for running amongst us!

Year 1 & 2 Athletics Festival
Our Kestrels class went on a residential to the Tile Barn in Brockenhurst where we haven't been before, the weather was kind to them and they had lots of fun!
