3 Herons Class Year 3/4

Welcome to Herons Class

The spring term is always a fun one in Herons!

This term we are moving forwards in our History timeline and looking at how and why the Roman Empire in England ended and the impact the Anglo Saxons, Scots and Picts then had. We bring this learning to life with a visit to the Sustainability Centre to consider how the Anglo Saxons lived in the Meon Valley.

In English, we study Beowulf to complement this learning and our learning journey culminates by writing our own mythical narrative.

In Science we explore living things and their habitats and learn how to read and create our own scientific keys.

Geography sees us learning about an area of Europe and we focus on Scandinavia.

In Art we will be exploring patterns and creating our own tessellated repeating pattern before moving onto our DT project; making juggling balls!

What with learning about birthday celebrations in French and singing and playing in a calypso style in Music, we are sure to have a great term!

Mrs Philpott and Miss Buxey.

Our door is always open so please feel free to send an email via the office or talk to us on the playground before or after school.
