Dear Parents/Carers,
Harvest Smiles, Spooky Fun & Firework Excitement!
What a fantastic way to round off this half term! Our Harvest Festival was a truly wonderful event – a huge thank you to everyone who came along and for the generous donations you shared. It was such a joy to celebrate together and see our children shine so brightly, performing with confidence and enthusiasm. The sense of community spirit in the hall was heartwarming – a real reminder of what makes Sheet so special.
And just when we thought the week couldn’t get any better, the Spooky Fun Run brought out everyone’s adventurous side! From ghosts to superheroes, it was amazing to see so many of you taking part (and some fabulous fancy dress, too!). We’re thrilled to announce that the event raised £770 so far – an incredible achievement! Huge thanks to those who collected sponsorships, with 1st prize for the most rasied being awarded to Sam Abbott and joint 2nd prize to Alfie Mawhinney and Harry Spencer. The other children who brought in sponsorship money will also get a small prize.
A very big thank you also to our brilliant FOSS team and Year 6 helpers who organised the popular “blood bags” of juice and sweets. What a creative idea – and a big hit with everyone!
Now it’s time to relax and enjoy a well-deserved half-term break. We hope you all have a restful, fun-filled week and return refreshed for what promises to be an exciting build-up to Christmas.
Looking ahead, we’ll start the next half term gently. Mr Spiers and Mrs Newton will be away for minibus training at TPS, and we’re proud to be entering a team into the National General Knowledge Team Heats – keep an eye out for updates and results!
And of course, we can’t forget the big one – our Fireworks Event on Saturday 8th November! ?? It’s always a highlight of the school calendar and a brilliant fundraiser for the school. If you haven’t already signed up to help, there’s still time – every extra pair of hands makes a difference. Come along, wrap up warm, and get ready for a spectacular evening of fun, food, and fireworks!
If you haven't already please could you spare 2 minutes to sign our Smartphone Free pact https://www.smartphonefreechildhood.org/sign-the-parent-pact (sorry for nagging) and pay for the termly school resources.
Thank you once again to everyone for making this such a positive, energetic start to the new term here at Sheet. Your support, enthusiasm, and community spirit make all the difference.
And of course a special thanks to our amazing team here at Sheet, I couldn't ask for a more hardworking and fun bunch of people to work with, enjoy some rest!!
Have a wonderful half term – see you soon for fireworks, festive fun, and the countdown to Christmas!
