Autumn 11                                       21 November 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

Nativity Rehearsals Underway!

This week saw the start of Nativity rehearsals for our Robins and Kingfishers classes. The children have thrown themselves into the Wriggly Nativity with great enthusiasm, energy and lots of smiles. We can’t wait to see their hard work come together in the performances.

National General Knowledge Championships

A huge congratulations to our junior team who took part in the National General Knowledge Championships this week. The competition was held online, and our team performed brilliantly—at several points we were in the lead! We proudly finished in 4th place, which means we are invited to the semi-finals on 4th December.
Well done to all involved! You can find more details in our latest news story.

Looking Ahead to Next Week

Final New Parent Tour

Next week we welcome families for our final new parent tour of the year. We always enjoy showing prospective parents the life of our school and the fantastic learning taking place.

Staff Development

Mrs Robinson begins her Thrive Practitioner Leadership training course, a 14-month programme that will further enhance our approach to supporting children’s wellbeing. We wish her every success as she embarks on this important training.

Outdoor Classroom and Wildlife area Progress

Our outdoor classroom is really taking shape, and we are getting excited to see it nearing completion. If anyone in our school community knows an electrician who may be able to offer low-cost or voluntary support, we would be extremely grateful. Any help would make a big difference in bringing this wonderful space to life for the children.

Our wildlife garden is re-furbished and ready for planting and finishing,  we hope to have this complete by the end of next week. Again if anyone could help with planting or could donate any bug hotels, bird baths, feeders etc I am sure Chloe Kelly would be interested to hear from you!

Thank you for your continued support. Wishing everyone a restful weekend!

Internet Safety

Every child deserves to feel safe online – and we all have a part to play. Find out more about online safety from the experts.

Children and young people are online more than ever before.  In fact, 7-16-year-olds who use the internet say that they spend almost four hours a day online (Childwise, 2021). Plus, half of ten-year olds now own their own smartphone (Ofcom, 2019)

Not only are children spending more time on the web, but the lines between their online and offline lives are becoming increasingly blurred.

Time spent online can be positive. It offers endless opportunities for young people to make friends, have fun and learn new things — they can learn, play and connect with peers. However, it can also pose real-life dangers — from online bullying and threats to sexual abuse and poor mental health.

As a parent or carer, it can be difficult to navigate all the new platforms and games, let alone talk to your child about online safety.  Whether they’re gaming, chatting, posting, or streaming, we want to support parents to help keep children safe online.
