Autumn 14                                     10 December 2025

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a week we've had! It's been non-stop excitement here at our school. Our nativity plays on Wednesday and Thursday evenings were absolutely wonderful - the children were simply magical.

Next week is our final week of the term, and we've got so much packed in. On Tuesday, FOSS is running their Christmas shop in the hall - always a favourite with the children. We're also welcoming Marie Perry, who'll be joining the Kingfisher class as an additional learning support assistant. She'll be coming in to meet the children and spend time with teachers to ensure a smooth transition.

Wednesday brings our whole school trip to the pantomime - always a highlight of the term (if you haven't already, please can you sign up and pay on SCOpay - it's now too late to order a packed lunch).

Then Thursday is going to be an incredible day. We're supporting Children in Need with our Christmas Jumper Day, enjoying a festive Christmas lunch, and we'll have a very special visitor (hint: he's jolly and wears red!). The children will have their class parties, and right after school, FOSS is organising a Rudolph Run - so bring along your festive outfits and run around like it's Christmas soon (ho ho ho).

But that's not all - we're also opening our brand new Outdoor Classroom and Wildlife Garden. It's going to be a moment to remember! And yes, the staff will be having their annual Christmas 'do' that evening too - we know how to celebrate!

Our final day on Friday will be a celebration assembly from 9-9:30, where we'll be highlighting our school values. We'll finish the day at 1:15pm after what has been an incredibly long and busy term.

A few housekeeping notes:

Please check the lost property box, pop some items in our 'reverse advent box' if you can and clear any outstanding dinner or trip money.

New club letters have gone out, so get your bookings in quickly!

Have the best Christmas and a wonderful weekend!

Attendance

Attendance letters will be sent to you next week if you have an attendance of less than 95%. The governors and I make no apologies for these.  Although I realise that an illness at this time of the year can make up a large percentage of your child's attendance since September, I need to see attendance rise and there are far too many children hovering at 95% and below.
