Autumn 10                                         15 November 2024

Hello everyone,

First off, let's talk about our FIREWORK event. Wow! What an absolute cracker it was! We had a sell-out crowd, and I can't thank our amazing FOSS team, helpers, and volunteers enough. Your hard work and dedication made it a night to remember. We're still crunching the numbers, but keep your eyes peeled for the final profit figure. I have a feeling it's going to be impressive!

This week we have been thinking about what bullying is and we all agree that it is not pleasant to be on the receiving end of any bullying. We have talked about bystanders and different ways of reporting. Our internet safety section has some ideas on 'respect' as this year's theme is 'Choose Respect'. Great that this is one of our values, alongside 'courage' which we will need to speak out against bullying.

Our Kingfishers had a brilliant time on their trip to the Weald and Downland museum. If you haven't already, make sure to check out the news item – it's a real treat!

Speaking of adventures, our Year 5/6 footballers had a fantastic time at Bohunt this week. They enjoyed some top-notch training and exciting matches. Don't miss out on reading all about their night.

It's always a joy to welcome potential new families to our school, and I'm thrilled to say our parent tours are in full swing. It's wonderful to see so much interest in our lovely school community.

I'm also delighted to share that Mrs Beenham has embarked on her forest school training. This is such an exciting development for our outdoor learning programme!

Looking ahead to next week, we've got some great things coming up. Shine Radio will be popping in to interview some of our pupils about Christmas. I can't wait to hear what festive thoughts our little ones will share!

And for those lucky enough to have snagged a spot, Mrs Deuble's famous 'Christmas Craft' night is happening from 3:15pm to 5pm. I'm sorry to say it's already sold out – it's always such a popular event!

On a slightly less cheery note, I'm a bit sad that none of our Year 1/2 pupils have signed up for the 'endball' game at Bohunt on Tuesday. It's such a shame to miss out on these opportunities, perhaps next time.

As always, I'm incredibly proud of everything our pupils, staff, and wider school community achieve. Your enthusiasm, hard work, and support make Sheet Primary School the wonderful place it is. Keep up the fantastic work, everyone!

Game of the Week .... GULLIBLE

Ever heard of the game Gullible? Apparently its the top game for this Christmas!

The hilarious creative trivia game with a twist. Using your smarts, random knowledge and bluffing will you be able to fool the other team into believing the unbelievable? Gullible is a party game where you create fake answers to impossible to know questions and see if you can trick your opponents into believing the ridiculous. Invent fake facts and place your bets!

Each round your team invents two fake facts that are more believable than the truth to try and hide a correct answer from the opposing team.

The other team does the same, and then you bet your chips on the right answers. All chips placed on fake facts are lost forever and the team that can hold onto their chips the longest wins.
