What a hot week! We said a sad farewell to Stu Wainwright our caretaker this morning in assembly. He has been with us for 3 years and has done a great job. Neil Tyrell (who lives just next door) will be starting with us next week. So a warm welcome to Mr Tyrell!
This week year 3/4 children had a great time at Bohunt in a rounders match, well done to the children who attended with Miss Buxey.
Our violin teacher, Mrs Hughes together with Poppy and Lucy Rose, played to Herons and Kingfishers classes on Thursday. If your child is interested in violin lessons for September, do let us know, they are very reasonably priced at £8 for a shared lesson and Mrs Hughes will be starting a beginners group.

Monday: Don't forget swimming kits (junior Y2/4 and selected 5/6)
Wednesday: Class photos day, please ensure your child comes into school wearing smart school uniform (and not PE kits). (Kestrels class will not have PE this Wednesday). Year 6s, please bring in your home clothes with your leaver's hoodies for your leavers photo. We also interview for a new SENCo.
There is a year 5/6 rounders tournament at Langrish
Thursday: Engineering day at Churchers College for selected Year 5 pupils (please return your consent form - still waiting for 2) This finishes at 2.30pm and parents need to organise the pick up. Please see letter sent out.
Selected children will be attending the 'Hampshire Sports Festival' again this year - again please see letter dated 10th June with requirements for pick up and drop off.
Year 4 camp: The long awaited annual year 4 camp evening takes place on Thursday night - how exciting - please consult the letter sent 21/5 with list of requirements and consent form.
We have three secondary school pupils coming in next week to help out: Delilah Carr, Oliver Glanville and Isabel faithful (the cook's daughter) we hope they enjoy their week!
Enjoy the heatwave and please take care in the sun and don't forget the Sheet Village Tea and Cake event on Sunday 2-5pm.
