Dear Parents,
As we reach the end of another incredible year at Sheet Primary School, I find myself reflecting on all the wonderful moments we've shared together. It's been quite a journey!
First, I have to say a sad goodbye to our fantastic Year 6 children. Watching them grow and develop over their time with us has been such a privilege. They're ready for their next adventure, and I know they'll do brilliantly. We're going to miss them so much! We say goodbye to our families: Cookes, Blackburns, Galnvilles, Hines, Miles, Reddy and Thomas - thank you for your unwavering support over the years.
We're also saying farewell to some wonderful members of our team. Miss Hines, Mrs Nicholls and Mrs Thirkeld are moving on to new chapters in their lives. They've been absolutely diamonds, and we'll miss their dedication and the special touch they brought to our school community.
On a different note, we have a co-opted governor vacancy coming up. If you've ever thought about getting more involved in school life and helping to make a real difference to our school community, this could be perfect for you. Come and join our team - we'd love to have you on board!
I want to take a moment to say a huge thank you to all our parents. Your support throughout the year has been incredible. And of course, massive thanks to our amazing staff who work so hard every single day to give our pupils the best possible education.
It's been a long year, I won't lie! But what a successful one. Our Ofsted inspection went brilliantly, and our end of year results have been fantastic. I'm so proud of everyone - pupils and staff alike.
Don't forget to check our website over the summer - it's packed full of everything you need to know. I always update it with useful information, so it's worth a regular look.
You know, our children never cease to amaze me. They make me laugh every single day and remind me just how special this job really is. Our staff are absolutely brilliant too - I couldn't ask for a better team.
Now it's time to enjoy the holidays! Just a quick reminder that our INSET days are 3rd and 4th of September, with Years 1-6 coming back on Friday 5th. Our new Robins will be starting their primary school journey from Monday 8th September - how exciting!
So that's goodbye from me for now. Keep safe and have a wonderful summer. You're all amazing, and I can't wait to see you again soon.
