Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back from the summer break - what fabulous weather we've had! It's been wonderful to see all our pupils return to school so well-prepared. The happy voices echoing across Sheet Primary School have been music to our ears.
Our new Robins class have had a fantastic first week and are even staying for lunch today - a big milestone! I'm delighted to welcome Mr Spiers, who has joined us as a Herons teacher. At the same time, we're saying goodbye to Mrs Beenham as she starts her maternity leave. Good luck with the baby - relax and enjoy this special time!
Our football team has already been busy, heading to Bedales for their annual tournament. They played brilliantly, winning almost every single game - only dropping one match. A full match report is included in this newsletter for those keen to hear all the details.
Some exciting opportunities are coming up for our pupils. Years 1-6 will be bringing home information about the Junior Leadership team application process, and our Year 6 pupils can apply for Head Pupil positions. Please keep an eye on the school diary as we have lots of events planned to kick off the term.
Each class's topic web is attached so you can see what your child will be learning this term. I just have a problem with kestrel's class at the moment but will forward it on to the class when I have solved the little IT problem! As always, please come and see us if you have any questions.
Next Tuesday is school photo day, so please ensure all pupils arrive in their smart school uniform. A quick note for Kingfishers - you won't need PE kits as you'll be doing dance in your uniforms.
We are joining Bohunt Primary School's Partnership again this year, such a great opportunity for children to play against other primary schools in the area in different sports.
We're also starting our parent tours for next September's intake next week.
A gentle reminder about parking: the disabled bay is strictly for blue badge holders. Our Junior Road Safety Officers will be monitoring this closely from next week, and they're very thorough!
All clubs start next week!
