Dear Parents and Carers,
Well done and a huge thank you to all the children and parents who attended the Petersfield Music Choir evenings this week. The performances were truly wonderful and it was fantastic to see so many families supporting the children. The evenings were a real testament to the children’s patience, excellent behaviour, and their ability to listen and appreciate live music. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved.
It has been another busy and exciting week across the school. A group of Year 3 and 4 children represented us brilliantly at a dodgeball event held at Bohunt School. They showed great teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day, and were excellent ambassadors for our school.
In Robins and Kingfishers we have been concentrating on number and letter formation this week and will continue to do so until your child is able to form their letters correctly. We would love you to do a bit of practice at home - copious amounts of house points will be given out if you bring it back in (and it is formed correctly) :)
Meanwhile, our Year 5 and 6 pupils enjoyed a fun-filled fundraising afternoon in support of Comic Relief. There was a fantastic atmosphere, with lots of creative activities and laughter, all while raising money for a very worthwhile cause. Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make the event such a success.
We are also looking forward to our Craft Zen Easter craft evening taking place tonight after school. This promises to be a lovely opportunity for children to get creative and enjoy some seasonal activities together.
Looking ahead to next week, please note that there will be no after-school clubs running, with the exception of Running Club, which will take place on both Tuesday and Thursday mornings as usual.
We are pleased to be welcoming Bruce into school on Monday, who will be leading a special assembly for the children. This is always an engaging experience, and we know the pupils will enjoy taking part.
Parents’ Evenings will be held on Wednesday and Thursday. If you have not yet booked your appointment, please do so as soon as possible. These meetings are a valuable opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and celebrate their achievements.
On Friday, school will finish early at 1:15pm as we break up for the Easter holidays. During the day, the children will take part in an Easter Egg Hunt kindly organised by FOSS, which is always a highlight of the term. There will also be a cake sale to raise funds for the Year 6 leavers’ trip—any contributions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend—let’s keep shining in the sunshine!
